Accidentally see this work while watching Rosalind Krass interview on “The Medium Strike Back” I couldn’t find a lot of information about this work apart from Edward Ruscha description on Moma Website. The work Stain is a box set of single set paper displaying stain which is disregarded and overlooked. He mentioned he got bored of painting on surface and decide this is what he interested at that moment which is the concept of painting – letting a wet material sink down on the surface.
I am trying to find more referencing for the work I am trying to develop, which is collecting and collaborating dust and other material I can find on the street to transform the color on paper. His method of record the stain could be one of the option for my presentation.
