Richard Long

Richard Long’s art has influenced generations of Land artists and has shifted the notion of art away from the object and the idea of permanence. I love the simple forms of circle and lines created by natural materials, his work carries small gesture but deep meaning.

His work and theory behind “The Line Made by Walking” is my favorite, he transformed the landscape into his canvas and pacing repeatedly over and unremarkable patch of grass in London park until a distinct line appeared. It was a trace and a faint evidence of his presents in that particular time.
